Long-Term Health Conditions

Personal Training for Long-Term Health Conditions
Safe, supportive exercise tailored to you.
Living with a long-term health condition doesn't mean you have to stop moving.
In fact, the right type of exercise can help improve strength, mobility, confidence and your ability to enjoy everyday life.
At TailoredFit, I provide home personal training for people living with long-term health conditions across Telford and the surrounding areas. Every programme is adapted to your individual needs, helping you exercise safely and progress at a pace that works for you.
Whether your goal is walking further, climbing the stairs more comfortably, improving your balance or simply feeling stronger day to day, we'll build a plan together.
I provide personalised at-home personal training and fitness coaching across Telford and surrounding areas of Shropshire, helping people improve their fitness, build strength, increase mobility, lose weight, and feel more confident in themselves.
Whether you're taking your first steps into exercise, returning after a long break, or looking to take your health and fitness to the next level, my goal is simple: to help you achieve results that last.

Exercise That Starts With You
No two people—and no two health conditions—are the same.
That's why every programme begins with a conversation about:
-
Your medical history
-
Your current symptoms
-
Your mobility and movement
-
Your confidence levels
-
Your goals
-
Your day-to-day challenges
From there, I design sessions that are realistic, enjoyable and tailored specifically to you.

How Sessions Work
1. Free Consultation
We'll discuss your goals, medical history, current activity levels and any advice you've received from your healthcare team.
2. Movement Assessment
A gentle assessment helps me understand how you move and where we should begin.
3. Personalised Programme
Every exercise is chosen to suit your ability, symptoms and goals.
4. Progress at Your Pace
Some weeks you'll feel stronger than others, and that's perfectly normal. Sessions are adapted to how you're feeling on the day.
5. Ongoing Support
As your confidence and capability improve, your programme develops with you.
My Approach
Exercise should never feel intimidating.
I believe in creating sessions that are:
-
Safe
-
Encouraging
-
Realistic
-
Progressive
-
Enjoyable
-
The aim isn't to push you beyond your limits.
It's to help you move more confidently, become stronger and improve your ability to enjoy everyday life.
Real-Life Progress
I've worked with clients recovering from heart attacks, living with neuropathy, rebuilding strength after surgery and improving mobility after long periods of inactivity.
For one client living with heart failure and significant neuropathy, our focus wasn't on lifting heavy weights—it was on improving balance, rebuilding lower-body strength and making everyday tasks easier. Over time, they progressed from relying heavily on support to moving with greater confidence, improving stair climbing, balance and independence.
Every journey is different, but the goal is always the same: helping you do more of the things that matter to you.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is exercise safe if I have a long-term health condition?
In many cases, yes. Exercise can be highly beneficial when it is appropriate for your condition and tailored to your individual needs. Before we begin, we'll discuss your medical history and any advice you've received from your healthcare team.
Will the sessions be too difficult?
No. Sessions start at your current ability and progress gradually as your strength and confidence improve.
Do I need any equipment?
No. I bring all the equipment needed for your sessions.
What if I have good days and bad days?
That's completely normal. Your programme can be adjusted to match how you're feeling on the day, helping you stay active without overdoing it.
Do you work alongside healthcare professionals?
Where appropriate, I'm happy to work within the guidance provided by your GP, physiotherapist or other healthcare professionals to ensure your programme complements your care.
